PART TIME BUS DRIVER FOR SENIOR CENTERThe Town of East Lyme is looking for a part time Bus Driver for the Senior Center. The part time Bus Driver drives and performs related transportation duties to assist older and/or disabled adults in the full participation of Town sponsored transportation sponsored activities. This may include helping our older residents with their grocery bags and pushing people in a wheelchair. The driver will need an F endorsement on their license. We are happy to have a potential driver ride with us to see what the job entails.Work hours are Mondays from 8:30am to 2:00pm and Thursday from 8:30am to 2:00pm. The people factor is undervalued. When it is time for budget cuts, look out because you are just a line item to the superintendent, no matter how hard you worked and how many people you have helped. Systems for efficiency are almost non-existent. Teachers are overwhelmed with overreaching expectations without a structure/support for reaching them. Morale in this district is very low and turnover is high.
