Treatment Of Lyme Disease
Early diagnosis and proper antibiotic treatment of Lyme disease is important and can help prevent late Lyme disease. The following treatment regimens reflect CDCs interpretation of the most current data for four important manifestations of Lyme disease. These regimens are consistent with guidanceexternal icon published by the by the Infectious Disease Society of America, American Academy of Neurology, and American College of Rheumatology.
Some patients report persistent symptoms of pain, fatigue, or difficulty thinking even after treatment for Lyme disease. The state of the science relating to persistent symptoms associated with Lyme disease is limited, emerging, and unsettled.
Additional researchexternal icon is needed to better understand how to treat, manage, and support people with persistent symptoms associated with Lyme disease. In light of these research gaps, recommendations for treatment of persistent symptoms in people previously treated for Lyme disease are not provided here.

Chelation Therapy For Lyme Disease
Its done using a type of medication called a chelator or chelating agent. This medication binds to metals in the bloodstream, collecting them into a compound that can be processed by your kidneys and released in urine.
Chelation therapy is an effective treatment for a buildup of heavy metals. But theres no evidence that heavy metals contribute to Lyme disease, and chelation therapy wont treat the underlying infection.
My Long Road To A Lyme Diagnosis
I could write a freakin’ book about my pre-diagnosis Lyme experience. Not to sound dramatic, but it was basically a nightmare playing out in slow motion. For your own sanity, I’ll give you the condensed version.
Personally, I don’t remember a tick bite, and like many Lyme sufferers, I never got the bull’s-eye rash or flu-like symptoms so often touted as “classic” signs of Lyme disease. Instead, my whole ordeal began with a sharp, stinging sensation in my left ankle after a day of walking in New York City, where I’d just begun my first “big girl” job. It hurt, but I didn’t think much of it, and about a week later I was told I had tendinitis that would resolve relatively quickly. But then my other ankle started to hurt, and after a few months, the pain extended to the bottoms of my feet, my knees, and even my arms. Sometimes it would feel like electric currents were running through my toes when I stood up. After a while, I began to question my tendinitis diagnosis, but after about five “second opinions” and countless tests , doctors had no real explanation for what was going on. In the words of one of my least favorite doctors, “There’s nothing else I can do for you.”
Don’t Miss: Cure Lyme Disease Without Antibiotics
A Treatment That Is Not Completely Effective Today
In case bite a tick, there is only one treatment for the moment to prevent contracting the disease or to prevent its progression, but not not entirely effective.
In fact, that is customary prescribed a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment after discovering the bite to prevent infection.
However, these antibiotics are not effective in some patients and worse, they may even worsen some symptomss of the disease by altering the bacterial flora in the intestine and leaving the door wide open for Lyme disease bacteria to take effect, as reported by Futura-Science.
Oxygen And Reactive Oxygen Species
Oxygen therapy was marketed to patients for treatment of Lyme disease primarily in 3 forms: hyperbaric oxygen, ozone, and hydrogen peroxide. Hyperbaric oxygen is administered using hyperbaric oxygen chambers and was promoted as having salutary effects on the immune response to B. burgdorferi infection . Alternatively, some practices promoted using chemically reactive oxygen species, including ozone therapy and/or intravenous infusion of hydrogen peroxide. Ozone can be generated from atmospheric oxygen and administered in several forms. These include intravenous administration of an ozonated solution, ingestion of ozonated water, ozonation and reinfusion of blood, administration of ozonated oils, and rectal or vaginal insufflation with gaseous ozone .

I Was Too Weak To Get Treatment
When I was diagnosed with Lyme disease, my toxicologist said that I was too weak to undergo antibiotic treatment. Antibiotics would possibly kill me unless I could get stronger first. I began a program to try to detox and gain some strength so that perhaps, one day, Id be able to get the antibiotic treatment.
I was too weak and allergic to leave the house. My career as a process design engineer had ended due to my illness, and we were struggling financially because of the medical bills, medications, and supplements I needed.
Sarcoidosis Case Study #1
CS #1 is a 53 year-old white female who was diagnosed with the rare and incurable disease Sarcoidosis in August of 2012. She was inflicted with generalized signs of Sarcoidosis inflammation – pain and swelling in her bones, ankles, and nerves, including her left optic nerve and the larger involuntary nerves of the heart.
The first presentation of her Sarcoidosis was extreme bilateral swelling of her ankles and lower legs without antecedent trauma. She said, My legs looked like I had elephantiasis.
She progressed to having trouble breathing even at rest, when formerly she was a very active and athletic person. The pain was intense, ranging from pressure in the chest, to deep bone ache, to throbbing unrelenting pain in the swollen areas.
Two years after the onset of her symptoms she manifested signs that the autonomic nervous system was involved, with irregular heart arrhythmias which were clinically disconcerting, creating dizziness and chest pressure.
Vision was also affected with severe retro-orbital pain, tearing and loss of significant vision in the left eye. CS #1 was also seen by numerous ophthalmologists, who confirmed the diagnosis of granulomas within the left optic nerve.
CS #1 became convinced over time that nothing in the conventional medical world would cure her. Faced with this realization, she felt herself spiritually guided to take matters into her own hands, and arrived at the following conclusions:

Lyme Disease And The Milk Cure
How one mother began her recovery from Lyme disease using the traditional technique known as The Milk Cure used by the forerunner of the Mayo Clinic.
This amazing story was sent to me by Melanie, a Mom who, for over 100 days, fasted on nothing but raw milk to heal Lyme Disease.
No other Lyme Disease treatments, conventional or otherwise, had worked for her over the past 4 years.
A Journey To Forgiveness
I spent that year asking God to teach me how to forgive at a deeper level so that it wouldnt be so difficult for me to deal with my family members. I had so much internalized pain from my childhood that made it hard for me to understand how I could be in sin by not forgiving them. Lots of bitterness was hidden by hurt. My hearts desire was to follow Gods ways and to forgive, but I felt like I wasnt doing it right. Whenever all of the feelings bubbled up inside of me, I took them to God and asked Him to change me. I thought I was failing in the forgiveness arena, but God was looking at my heart and my commitment to overcome it.
Possible Alternative Treatment For Lyme Disease
- University of Oklahoma
- Researchers have described a new antibiotic that appears to have the potential to cure Lyme disease.
As if COVID and RSV weren’t bad enough, incidents of Lyme disease — a potentially serious disease caused by the bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi and transmitted following a bite of an infected deer tick — also are on the rise in the United States.
Lyme disease affects an estimated 300,000 people in the United States alone. Humans and animals can be infected with B. burgdorferi following the bite of an infected deer tick, also known as the black-legged tick. About 80% of those who contract the disease will develop a bulls-eye rash around or near the site of the bite anywhere from three to 30 days following the bite.
Although early antibiotic treatment is effective for most patients, some 10-20% of patients continue to suffer from symptoms that may include fatigue, muscle pain and cognitive impairment for over six months after therapy. The significance of this debilitating disease has been recently brought into focus by a set of very similar symptoms in patients with “Long COVID.”
The antibiotics currently used to treat Lyme disease are broad-spectrum with significant effects on the human gut microbiome and the potential for increasing resistance in non-target bacteria, Zgurskaya explained, adding that the team sought to identify a compound acting with a narrower spectrum of activity against B. burgdorferi.
Nutritional And Herbal Therapy
A wide variety of dietary and nutritional interventions were marketed including conventional nutrients such as vitamin C and vitamin B12, commonly used supplements such as garlic and fish oil, as well as other herbal products such as turmeric, olive leaf, teasel root, cilantro, chlorella, sarsaparilla, andrographis, marijuana, cannabis oil, and cat’s claw . One combination, a salt/vitamin C protocol was marketed as a miracle cure for Lyme disease . A website advocated high dose methyl B12 and glutathione, given as self-administered injections for detoxification . The traditional East Asian remedy moxibustion was also advertised . Some sites marketed modified diets such as gluten restriction or high protein diets . One protocol recommended magnesium and water supplementation with oral serrapeptase, a protease derived from Serratia bacteria . In addition to serrapeptase, other enzymes have been advertised to treat patients with Lyme disease including the soybean-derived nattokinase and the earthworm-derived lumbrokinase .

Strategies To Tackle Lyme Disease
I have Lyme disease, writes this weeks viewer. Is there anything I can do to treat it naturally?
Lyme disease, the most common American tick-borne infectious disease, often goes undiagnosed or becomes misdiagnosed. That becomes a real problem when you consider that in America, up to 300,000 new cases a year of Lyme disease diagnoses have been reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention , an increase of up to 10 times what researchers previously believed.
Lyme disease, or borreliosis, is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi, which can proliferate to every area in your body. An infected blacklegged deer tick transmits the virus to humans through a bite.
Unfortunately, Borrelia burgdorferi has the ability to proliferate within every area of your body, hiding from and suppressing your natural immune system. Lyme infections literally hijack your immune system like AIDS.
Lyme is one of the most challenging, difficult situations in my practice because it mimics other illnesses such as the flu, manifesting as diverse symptoms like headaches, muscle aches, stomach ulcers, constipation, and joint pain. That makes diagnosing and treating Lyme very difficult.
A weakened immune system paired with suboptimal cellular function and protection, chronic bacterial infections, and exposure to environmental toxins, like molds and parasites, can make things much worse for those who suffer from chronic Lyme.
Wishing you health and happiness,

I Started My Journey To Recovery
When I first went to Be in Health, I had been sick for five years with the mystery disease. I was housebound for one year and had been diagnosed with Lyme for about four months.
It took the solid Biblical teaching at the For My Life Retreat to help me recognize that I was brokenhearted, which left all of my relationships undergirded with fear and trust issues. I thought that I had already overcome a childhood of neglect and abuse. I felt that because I had two engineering degrees, two beautiful kids, a husband of eighteen years, and a home, I was doing well. I was high functioning for years, and then I thought that I just randomly got sick. I had all of these issues under the surface, and I had no idea what to do with them or how deep they went. According to what the world would say these issues were normal. But God wanted to heal these issues rather than allow them to affect my spirit, my connection with Him and others, and my health.
I didnt have to understand everything at the time. I just prayed about and dealt with the issues that I recognized as they came up. I had to want to obey scripture and work on my relationship with God. God led me to read the profiles of disease and then set them aside and not focus on them so that He could do the work in my heart that was necessary to deliver me from them.

The High Dose Dapsone Lyme Persister Regimen
Dr. Horowitz discovered by accident that taking 200 mg a day of Dapsone for 2 months can put many people into extended remission, and may even cure them of Lyme. One of his patients took double the usual dose of Dapsone by accident and had great improvments. Horowitz claims he is seeing others who can tolerate taking Dapsone at 200 mg a day go into remission.
The high dose Dapsone regimen is the same as the lower dose persister regimen above with the following changes.
How Is It Best Used
Once you create the MMS solution by adding drops of activator to the Sodium Chlorite, you can use it accordingly. . Keep in mind that we are not giving ANY medical advice and are not advising anyone to ingest high doses of MMS solution. The information below is to inform and to provide research for those interested in experimentation with data provided by the official MMS website:
As with any Lyme treatment you attempt, it is important to start slow and easy and be careful not to make yourself feel worse. Even though MMS does not create toxins itself, the act of disrupting pathogens can create toxins and cytokines , and the rise of these substances can cause a herxheimer reaction. Starting with one drop at a time in slow, incremental doses will help you discover your tolerance level which will allow you to stay on treatment without having to discontinue because of herxes. Also, if you do experience a crash, there are several toxin binders that can help you eliminate toxins more quickly.
