Phase 1 Antimicrobials Kill The Bad Guys For One Month :
Use your own judgment to an extent regarding what to take and how much. If you get every single one, you should be ok to take each and every one as directed , but for smaller people this may be a bit too much. On the other hand, if you get fewer supplements or are on the larger size, you would likely do better with upping the dosages a little. The more you spread out the dosages throughout the day, the more effective they will be. Green Lifestyle Market sells all of the supplements mentioned and offers a return guarantee, so if something doesnt work for you, you can exchange or get a refund. Experiment. These are supplements, theyre not going to kill you, no matter what big-pharma would like you to believe. I did this protocol myself for three weeks, and I recommend 3-4 weeks for anyone with Lyme. I just took all of them with each meal, as some can cause an upset stomach if empty.
Some of them say to take with food, and some say to take on an empty stomach. I like taking antimicrobials with salad and other healthy meals, especially when taking a lot. But again, use your own judgement, see what works best.
If you need an additional immune system bost, for instance, if youre regularly coming down with colds and flu or have sinus issues, consider these additions below. You shouldnt need them if you get at least a few of the ones above, but if you like to go overkill like me, here you go:
One Lyme Disease Diet
Its time to tighten the diet. Dial it in. Get strict. This doesnt mean you wont enjoy food it means its time to learn to enjoy salads! Make a salad every day, using at least ten different vegetables and at least five different herbs and spices. Variety is key, and be sure to mix it up, but always include garlic, turmeric, pepper, healthy fats like avocado, flax, and coconut oil, and get organic, fresh vegetables whenever possible.
Fruit is great to consume with this diet, but every time fruit is eaten, SF722 or another powerful fungal fighter needs to be taken with it.
Juicing is a common problem for us health nuts. Sweet juice is a refined sugar, even fresh squeezed organic orange juice. Beets, carrots, and all fruits , feed fungal infections, bacteria, and promote viruses. Juicing is fine, when done right. Juice regularly, but instead of those sweet juices, try ginger and turmeric shots . On the other hand, youre not likely to have much room for juicing because you will be drinking a lot of cranberry, stevia lemonade.
Every day, make a gallon of cranberry lemonade sweetened with stevia, and a very large salad . Obviously your size should be taken into consideration, dont kill yourself trying to drink a gallon a day if you only weigh 80 pounds, but for most people a gallon of water a day will do them a world of good.
Absolutely no alcohol is allowed on this diet save what little bit is in some of the recommended tinctures.
What Are The Signs & Symptoms Of Lyme Disease
Lyme disease can affect different body systems, such as the nervous system, joints, skin, and heart. The symptoms of Lyme disease are often described as happening in three stages. Not everyone with Lyme has all of these, though:
The rash sometimes has a “bull’s-eye” appearance, with a central red spot surrounded by clear skin that is ringed by an expanding red rash. It also can appear as an growing ring of solid redness. It’s usually flat and painless, but sometimes can be warm to the touch, itchy, scaly, burning, or prickling. The rash may look and feel very different from one person to the next. It can be harder to see on people with darker skin tones, where it can look like a bruise. It gets bigger for a few days to weeks, then goes away on its own. A person also may have flu-like symptoms such as fever, tiredness, headache, and muscle aches.

In mainstream medicine, a patient who exhibits these symptoms will likely have lab work done to confirm the diagnosis. The standard treatment is then antibiotics, and its believed that most of those infected will recover within a few weeks. But in some cases, symptoms can persist. In mainstream medicine, the idea that these symptoms are due to a persistent infection is controversial, and chronic Lyme syndrome is largely unrecognized. Still, some functional medicine doctors and organizations, such as the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society , insist that chronic Lyme is a growing problem, and one that should be recognized. Some of the recurring symptoms post-treatment might include:
- Severe fatigue
As a functional medicine practitioner, heres what I wish more people knew about Lyme disease:
Can Lyme Disease Be Prevented
There’s no sure way to avoid getting Lyme disease. But you can minimize your risk. Be aware of ticks when you’re in high-risk areas. If you work outdoors or spend time gardening, fishing, hunting, or camping, take precautions:
- Wear closed shoes or boots, long-sleeved shirts, and long pants. Tuck your pant legs into your shoes or boots to prevent ticks from crawling up your legs.
- Use an insect repellent containing 10% to 30% DEET .
- Wear light-colored clothing to help you see ticks more easily.
- Keep long hair pulled back or wear a hat for protection.
- Don’t sit on the ground outside.
- Check yourself for ticks regularly both indoors and outdoors. Wash your clothes and hair after leaving tick-infested areas.
If you use an insect repellent containing DEET, follow the directions on the product’s label and don’t overapply it. Place DEET on shirt collars and sleeves and pant cuffs, and only use it directly on exposed areas of skin. Be sure to wash it off when you go back indoors.
No vaccine for Lyme disease is currently on the market in the United States.

Seven Herbal Medicines Can Kill Lyme Disease Bacteria In Test Tube
Researchers have determined that seven herbal medicines are highly active in test tubes against B. burgdorferi, the bacteria that causes Lyme disease, compared to the control antibiotics, doxycycline and cefuroxime.
Published in the journal Frontiers in Medicine, the laboratory study was funded by the Bay Area Lyme Foundation and supported in part by The Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation.
Researchers at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and colleagues at the California Center for Functional Medicine and FOCUS Health Group, Naturopathic collaborated on the study.
Since traditional antibiotic approaches fail to resolve symptoms in up to 25% of patients treated for Lyme disease and many suffer disabling effects of the disease, there is a need for novel treatment proven effective against B. burgdorferi, said the papers co-author Sunjya K. Schweig, MD, CEO and co-director, California Center for Functional Medicine and Scientific Advisory Board Member, Bay Area Lyme Foundation.

Common Herbs Used To Treat Lyme Disease
I know firsthand the struggles that patients with Lyme Disease face trying to get diagnosed and treated appropriately. As a Registered Nurse and the wife of a patient dealing with these issues, I have been forced to become very educated on the subject. Knowledge is empowering, so I encourage you to study up!
In treating Lyme Disease it’s important to remember that there is more than one way to skin a cat. There are differing opinions as to WHAT the diagnostic criteria should be, and unfortunately the current lab testing available today is inaccurate. There are also differing opinions as to HOW Lyme should or can be treated. Truthfully, many of the different methods can very well be effective. There are many traditional treatment protocols available that utilize prescription antibiotics. At the other end of the spectrum, there are homeopathic remedies that have been supported by studies to be equally effective in killing the Lyme organism. Somewhere in the middle is a happy medium that utilizes a little bit of traditional medicine along with some herbal therapies. We are treating my husband’s Lyme with a little bit of bothit’s nice to have several options!
Banderol And Cats Claw
“These two herbs are commonly dosed together because they work synergistically with clinically proven action against Borrelia species,” Greenspan says. “The goals with any treatment with Lyme disease spirochetes, whether chronic or acute, is to have a combination of herbs to be effective with the shape-shifting behavior of this microbe.”

Should You Go Keto To Combat Lyme
More studies need to be done that test this diet on patients with Lyme, but for now I feel its a safe and effective way to support your body through the process of healing Lyme. Many of the pathways implicated in Lyme disease are also modulated with a high-fat, low-carb keto diet. Because of this, in my practice I put almost all my patients with Lyme on some form of Ketotarian diet. Depending on how severe your Lyme disease is, I suggest seeking out a Lyme-savvy functional medicine practitioner whos familiar with Lyme and low-carb, high-fat diets like the Keto diet.

Possible Alternative Treatment For Lyme Disease
- University of Oklahoma
- Researchers have described a new antibiotic that appears to have the potential to cure Lyme disease.
As if COVID and RSV weren’t bad enough, incidents of Lyme disease — a potentially serious disease caused by the bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi and transmitted following a bite of an infected deer tick — also are on the rise in the United States.
Lyme disease affects an estimated 300,000 people in the United States alone. Humans and animals can be infected with B. burgdorferi following the bite of an infected deer tick, also known as the black-legged tick. About 80% of those who contract the disease will develop a bulls-eye rash around or near the site of the bite anywhere from three to 30 days following the bite.
Although early antibiotic treatment is effective for most patients, some 10-20% of patients continue to suffer from symptoms that may include fatigue, muscle pain and cognitive impairment for over six months after therapy. The significance of this debilitating disease has been recently brought into focus by a set of very similar symptoms in patients with “Long COVID.”
The antibiotics currently used to treat Lyme disease are broad-spectrum with significant effects on the human gut microbiome and the potential for increasing resistance in non-target bacteria, Zgurskaya explained, adding that the team sought to identify a compound acting with a narrower spectrum of activity against B. burgdorferi.
Essential Oils For Lyme Disease
Essential oils are concentrated liquids from plants. Some of them have antibacterial properties, meaning they can kill bacteria.
A 2017 study evaluated the use of 34 essential oils to kill B. burgdorferi bacteria in a laboratory setting. Cinnamon bark, clove bud, and oregano essential oils killed the bacteria without any regrowth. <
These results are promising, but theres no evidence that they work in humans with Lyme disease. Essential oils are used in aromatherapy, where the fragrant oils are inhaled through a diffuser or diluted in a carrier oil and applied topically. Its not safe to ingest essential oils, especially in the quantities that you would likely need to treat Lyme disease.
Some people claim that immune system-boosting supplements can naturally treat Lyme disease.

The Lyme Protocol That Works
Ill bet someone is going to ask why I dont mention colloidal silver. I dont think its good for you, Ive never found it particularly helpful, and I just dont trust it. But to each their own you can find tons of very intelligent naturopaths who are much more educated than I am who will vehemently disagree with me on colloidal silver. And, the key to killing off Lyme with supplements, like with antibiotics, you need to use more than one. Youve got to attack from every angle you can or else they build up immunity. The good news is that natural remedies affords many more options with fewer if any side effects and in my experience , a much better success rate. Like, 100%.
Now heres the bad news. Actually, its not bad news, but it sure sounds like it to most people at first. You may not be able to kill the Lyme any time soon. I recommend a plethora of supplements with differing properties to attack any and all pathogenic bacteria, but you will never eradicate systemic pathogenic disease completely with supplements alone. And even with a perfect diet and all the best supplements, it takes time! A few of these Lyme-bacteria bastards, and other pathogens, will survive anything and everything you do to it at first. Dont think that just because you are symptom free that your body has rid itself of all virulent infection. It doesnt work that way.
Lyme Disease Treatments Near Me
When youre diagnosed with Lyme disease in its early stage, Dr. Kotsanis starts your treatment with antibiotics that can clear the infection. This usually cures most people quickly. However, when Lyme disease isnt diagnosed early, it can require up to a month of oral antibodies and, in severe cases, even IV antibiotics.
Some Lyme disease treatments offered at Kotsanis Institute include:
Insulin potentiation therapy: A special form of antibiotics is given to at-risk patients.
IV therapy: A Glutathione or Myers Cocktail helps more severe cases of Lyme disease.
Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy: This is used to help manage pain and to recharge a patients cells to restore their health.
Therapeutic apheresis: Its a blood filtration that extracts the infection or bacteria from Lyme-infected cells found in your blood.
Ultraviolet blood irradiation therapy: This oxidative therapy is given intravenously, and can absorb viruses and bacteria in the blood.

Babesia Treatment In Lyme Disease
In my experience, recovering from Babesia, one of the Lyme disease co-infections, requires
- combination herbal or prescription antibiotics and antimalarials,
- steps to boost the immune system, and
- supplements to decrease inflammation caused by chemicals called cytokines.
Limited research shows prescription antimalarials work for Babesia. Research supports the combination of atovaquone and azithromycin. There is also research support for the clindamycin and quinine combination. These studies support a seven- to ten-day course of treatment. This is one reason why many insurers refuse to pay for Babesia treatments longer than ten days.
However, there are no studies about Babesia treatment in Lyme. In Lyme, the experience of most experienced Lyme Literate Medical Doctors is that it can take four to five months of continuous antimicrobials for Babesia to resolve.
In clinical practice, many different combinations of herbal and prescription antimalarials work to cure Babesia. I explain these various combinations below. With these treatmentsincluding steps to boost the immune system and to decrease inflammationit is possible to cure Babesia 95 percent of the time, in my experience. This means five percent of people may relapse or require treatments involving a number of the different approaches below.
