Issues In The Use Of Ozone
1. Ozone is currently regarded by the FDA as a toxic gas with no medical uses despite the presence of a plethora of publications to the contrary, which apparently, the agency has ignored. It is toxic to lungs, but its reported toxicity ends there. . The worldwide medical paradigm revolves around patented profitable synthetic pharmaceuticals, which ushered in the antibiotic and modern medical era. Ozone cannot be patented for profit. Hence, financing for full study to obtain approval is highly unlikely. There is no financial gain. Any study funding would have to come from fully altruistic sources.

Review Of The Medical Literature
Scientific studies supporting the efficacy of any of the treatments discussed above could not be found on review of the medical literature. Most of the cited treatments were never evaluated with any scientific study, although we did find that a few treatments were evaluated in studies that either were poorly designed or had unclear relevance to human disease.
Two studies are worth mentioning in more detail. A study of combination therapy with cholestyramine-atovaquone enrolled 25 patients with persistent symptoms after being diagnosed with and treated for babesiosis-Lyme disease coinfection . In this study, however, all patients received cholestyramine for the entirety of the trial, so no inferences could be made about its therapeutic efficacy.
The effect of hyperbaric oxygen on strains of B. burgdorferi was assessed both in vitro and in experimentally infected mice in one study . The investigators found that growth of the organism in vitro was inhibited by hyperbaric oxygen in 14 of 17 cultures. In addition, the organism was cultivable from the bladders of only 20% of mice treated with hyperbaric oxygen, compared with 90% of untreated mice. No study of this therapy in humans with Lyme disease has ever been published.

How do you view Lyme disease?
I define Lyme in the strictest sense the same as traditional doctors do, but would add that it is a multi-system disease in which the symptoms relate not only to the infection itself, but also to the inflammation caused by the immune response and toxins released by the infections.
In my experience, chronic Lyme is usually associated with ongoing active infection, damage to multiple body systems , ongoing inflammation, and often autoimmune issueswith part of the immune system being misguided, and attacking the patients own tissues, such as the joints, thyroid, or brain.
Symptoms vary depending on coinfections and other factors, but generally fall into three major categories: energy system , musculoskeletal system , and central nervous system .
Can you explain the three stages of your approach?
The initial phase, detoxification, includes stimulating toxin release, de-stressing the autonomic nervous system, strengthening the immune system, and dealing with viruses and autoimmune issues.
